Opelika police search for women in July 4th shopping trip with stolen card


OPELIKA, Ala. (WRBL) – Opelika Law enforcement need to have your assistance pinpointing two ladies who allegedly stole a wallet from a victim’s purse and utilized it to go shopping on Independence Working day. 

On July 4, 2022, the Opelika Police Office began investigating a Theft of Assets, Third Diploma, at Kroger on 2460 Business Drive. At roughly 11:30 a.m. two white ladies entered the retail store and proceeded to get rid of the victim’s wallet from their purse when the sufferer was distracted. The suspects then tried to make buys at Greatest Purchase, and at businesses in Auburn, making use of the victim’s stolen debit card

The initial suspect, a white feminine with long reddish hair, is observed donning a black t-shirt, jean shorts, and black sneakers. The 2nd suspect, a white woman with blonde hair, is noticed sporting a darkish blue t-shirt, black leggings, and tennis shoes.
