Forks Township law enforcement are urging the public to continue to be vigilant in a new fraud targeting typically women in parking heaps.
In the fraud, which investigators explain as “distraction thefts,” a guy and lady comply with a woman victim about a retailer and then possibly confront them whilst within the store or at their automobiles in the parking ton. Scammers then usually use a ruse, telling victims there is an concern with their tire, police reported.
Though a person distracts the victim, the other steals valuables from within the victim’s auto, according to police. Forks police have taken stories a short while ago describing this exercise at both Large Food stuff Merchants, alongside Town Heart Boulevard and the Park Plaza searching middle, along Sullivan Path.
Victims are likely to be “older women,” law enforcement said.
